Cookies and browser storage

What this notice covers
This notice covers the OrbitIQ application. The separate marketing website at orbitiq.app and services you open outside the application have their own notices.
Sign-in cookies
Read the Room uses the oiq_fellow cookie to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out removes it; resetting your password invalidates earlier sessions. When Google sign-in is enabled, oiq_google_flow temporarily binds the sign-in request to your browser for up to 10 minutes. Restricted team pages use oiq_admin for up to 14 days and oiq_proposal for up to 30 days. These cookies support access controls; they are not advertising identifiers. They are HttpOnly and use Secure transport in production.
Drafts and preferences on this device
Your browser stores unfinished RoomMap answers (rtr_session), a cached name and email (rtr_identity), introductory selections (rtr_start_v1), and whether you dismissed installation help (rtr_a2hs_dismissed_v1). Drafts can include names and details you enter. This storage stays on this browser; it does not synchronize unfinished drafts across devices. Starting a new read or successfully saving a RoomMap clears the previous draft. Other preferences can remain until you clear site data.
Interview continuity
The interview uses temporary browser session storage to recognize an intake attempt and avoid duplicate session creation. Ending the attempt clears its key; closing the browser tab also ends that session storage.
Diagnostics and external services
OrbitIQ has technical error monitoring through Sentry. Session replay and performance tracing are not enabled in our configuration. We do not configure advertising analytics or marketing cookies in this application. Stripe runs checkout and account billing on its own pages and may use storage for payment security. Voice and interview services are described in our Privacy Policy.
Your controls
You can sign out and remove cookies and site data in your browser settings. Clearing site data removes unfinished drafts and preferences and may sign you out. It does not delete RoomMaps already saved to your account. Blocking storage may prevent sign-in or draft recovery; keep a draft tab open if OrbitIQ reports that it cannot save your answers.
Questions
Contact contact@orbitiq.app about storage or personal-data requests. See the Privacy Policy for stored account information, service providers, and requests for access or deletion.
